During the Qingming Festival holiday, Yinzhou's major commercial districts seized the "holiday economy" opportunity by ramping up promotions and launching spring season products to boost consumer spending.

According to the data from the Yinzhou Commerce Bureau on April 6, the 12 key monitored businesses in Yinzhou generated over 74 million yuan in total sales from April 4 to 5.

Breakdown by sector:

4 major shopping complexes: Exceeded 34 million yuan

3 leading supermarkets: Surpassed 18 million yuan

2 top catering enterprises: Topped 2.3 million yuan

3 key auto dealers: Achieved over 19 million yuan

Home Appliances & Electronics Lead Growth

Dual incentives from government subsidies and merchant promotions drove strong demand for appliance upgrades and auto trade-ins during the holiday. At JD MALL Ningbo, crowds gathered around the latest tech releases.

"The Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 14 laptop normally retails at 7,799 yuan, but with trade-in subsidies and seasonal discounts, it’s now just over 6,000 yuan," said Hu Xiangzu, the store manager. The steep discounts turned newly launched electronics into bestsellers.

Nearby, Suning Pro Jinguang Store reported equally robust sales. "April is peak season for home upgrades, and this year’s trade-in subsidies have boosted demand even further," noted Qiu Xueqiao, the store director. Sales on the holiday’s first day doubled their usual volume.

Auto Trade-Ins Gain Momentum

Policy-backed discounts also fueled car purchases. Mr. Zhang, a local resident, traded in his aging, fuel-guzzling vehicle for significant savings. "With the government’s trade-in program, I saved tens of thousands," he said.

The holiday spending spree highlights how targeted subsidies are energizing Yinzhou’s consumer markets.

As temperatures rise in Yinzhou, the district’s commercial hubs are buzzing with spring fashion releases and outdoor trends. At Yinzhou MixC, clothing stores have refreshed their displays with seasonal collections, drawing crowds eager to update their wardrobes.

"Our holiday sales surged nearly 30% compared to weekdays," shared a sales associate at a second-floor apparel store. The demand for lightweight jackets, floral dresses, and outdoor-ready outfits mirrored the upbeat spring mood.

Dining Scene Thrives with Seasonal Flavors

The food and beverage sector also rode the holiday wave, with restaurants rolling out spring-inspired menus. "Dishes like stir-fried bamboo shoots with cured pork and shepherd’s purse dumplings—made with fresh seasonal ingredients—have been a hit," noted the manager of a popular restaurant at Vientiane Place.

Meanwhile, snack shops capitalized on the trend with limited-time offerings like qingtuan (glutinous rice cakes), sakura-flavored ice cream, and spring tea beverages, attracting young foodies in droves.
